Peter Porteous

Associate Director

Peter Porteous is the Associate Director responsible for our Design Team. Peter, who is an architect with 25 years experience both home and abroad combines this role with involvement in client liaison and business development.

Joining Dearle & Henderson with a great deal of expertise in both the private and social housing sectors, Peter has been invaluable on our large-scale new-build, rehabilitation and conversion projects. Far from a one trick pony, Peter is heavily involved in every stage from masterplanning to individual house and flat design and has a portfolio of medium and large-scale urban regeneration projects both in the UK and Ireland. At risk of sounding boastful of our Design Manager, Peter has wide-ranging experience in the conservation, refurbishment and restoration of both Grade A and Grade B listed buildings, together with the design of sustainable housing models for the private and social housing sectors.

Peter’s recent project of the refurbishment of the Miners’ Institute on Lochgelly won the RICS Regeneration Project of 2009.
