Bill Brown
Associate Director

Bill Brown is the Associate Director responsible for the running of the Building Surveying and Compliance section. Starting out in Asbestos Consultancy and Management, Bill developed considerable skills in project implementation and delivery.
Bill has managed a wide range of commercial, industrial and domestic surveying projects and recently has played a large part in the delivery of Dearle & Henderson’s Energy Performance Assessment projects. Bill has also completed an Environmental Impact Assessment - Scoping Report, for a large development in London.
Bill has strong management and inter-personal skills which are often called upon when appearing on stage to perform with his band, “AWAL”, a pub rock group playing classic rock in and around Glasgow. Bill’s life outside of work is largely music based, playing guitar and singing with his band or dabbling in home recording/song writing. He also enjoys doing a bit of DIY and gardening, with, he says, mixed results.
Notable and enjoyable projects include managing the Type 2 Asbestos Survey of Edinburgh Zoo for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, where he and the team surveyed all buildings, including the animal enclosures (very carefully!).
